I was so excited to try this place, I heard about it everywhere on social media. I'll be honest my expectations for the food was low because of the buffet concept. Usually buffet food isn't really that good, thankfully I was pleasantly surprised! The food was delicious it didn't taste like it was made in bulk and yet it was fresh and replenished often. They also had mini portions of Mexican desserts it was cute and a great way to be able to try a bit of it all. For the rest of the food they serve big portions so if you want to try a little of everything ask for a small amount. Everything was great here, the food, the location and decorations was perfect unfortunately I did feel like I had to remove one star because of an interaction with one of the workers. Everyone else was friendly and helpful. Except this one woman, she was wearing a bright pink polo and had her hair up in a ponytail. I had asked one of the workers about a dish that had ran out , that woman talked over him in a condescending manner said it would be out in a moment. It wouldn't have been a big deal but it wasn't what she said it was how she said it. I work in the service industry as well and I understand some customers can be difficult to cause a bad reaction or sometimes we have off days. But it's a server's job to be polite and I didn't say anything rude to being with. Overall a good experience, I definitely still recommend

Finally made it to Las Cazuelas for dinner. Lovely outdoor patio and great service. Had the Chili Verde plate and it was delicious. Everything was fresh and delicious and Vanessa made us feel right at home. Will definately be back.

Congratulations for making it onto the KQED TV show Check-Please last week The five stars is for the outdoor eating area, which might have been converted from an old parking lot. The space is buffered by a zone of vegetation all around, plus a masonry wall. From the top, a massive evergreen tree provides shelter from the hot summer sun, along with additional comfort provided by various umbrellas and wooden shelters. Compared with the outdoor spaces at Santana Row, one can relax and be themselves at Cazuelas, where the Santana Row people have to be more artificially-upscale. The outdoor space is also better than at Luna Mexican Kitchen up the street, where you feel like you are packed into a giant tent. It is also better than the outdoor space at San Pedro Square, if you do not want to be lost in a sea of 30 year olds drinking and talking over loud music.

My boyfriend and I came here for their buffet after seeing it on Instagram. It's about $32/person before tips. We wrote our name down on the notepad on the table and they called our name when a table was ready. They had a nice buffet spread with a lot of variety. They also had about 4 drink options: orange juice, apple juice, a yummy green fresca, and a purple one. The food was good but I got full really quickly. I didn't like the menudo. Definitely couldn't eat my money's worth. The churros were yummy and had filling. I had to make multiple trips to the buffet area since the flans kept running out

Best house chips when you're out drinking with your buddies. The chips were so good that our waitress kept bringing them out each time we ordered more drinks. The service and our waitress was . Thanks Paulina

I am so glad I picked this place for a group dinner! The first thing that stands out is the huge, welcoming patio. Absolutely immaculate vibes, and perfect for when the weather is nice. Next, the service was fantastic. Grace and the chef Omar made our night super special by checking in on us, continuously refilling our chips and salsa, and preparing some amazing food! We ordered the chicken fajitas, the taco salad with chicken, and the shrimp super tacos. Everything was so good! Highly recommend. This would be a great place to have a big group of people / meet friends, date night, or enjoy a solo meal!

I passed by this place several times before deciding to give it a try today, and I don't regret it. The main attraction of this place is its patio and outdoor tables, while the inside is small and not very appealing. So, if you don't like to eat outside or it's a cold and windy day, it's better to avoid this place because it will ruin your experience. The staff, mostly female, is very attentive and friendly. They welcome you with a basket of tortilla chips and salsa, and you can enjoy their buffet on Sundays. Although I wasn't hungry enough to take advantage of the buffet, I saw it, and it looked and smelled delicious. I would come back to try it. Bonus point: they make the tortillas by hand right in front of you. They offer an extensive menu at very affordable prices. However, for some reason, I decided to try their breakfast burrito and was pleasantly surprised. It had a manageable size and was filling at the same time. Every bite was a delicious blend of all the ingredients. I asked for hot sauce, and they served me their delicious homemade sauces (green and red). I highly recommend the green sauce, made with raw tomatillo (common in Mexico). In summary, you should try it. It's a solid Mexican food place.
